Investment Categories

Best New Fund Launch (from 1st November 2010 to 31st October 2011 - according to FE Trustnet database)
Best Outsourced Investment Solution for Advisers (Shortlist compiled in conjunction with industry consultants)

The following categories shortlists will be created using FE Trustnet/FE data on a performance and group weighted basis. The shortlists will then be voted on by Professional Adviser readers.

• Best UK Growth Group
• Best Income Group
• Best Global Equities Group


FE Trustnet will compile data on the 3 year performance data of funds in the relevant IMA categories from 1st November 2008 to 31st October 2011 and weight it according to the number of funds in relevant categories and the overall assets under management.

The short list for these 3 categories will be created by FE Trustnet using a unique methodology it has devised for the Professional Adviser awards which looks at performance and volatility over the last three years to 31st October, and is then weighted according to the assets under management within the fund.

Best Structured Product Provider

(The shortlist is compiled in conjunction with Protected Product Review (PPR) magazine. The shortlist is then voted on by IFAs.)

Hot 100 Categories (compiled using the Hot 100 statistics/tables calculated by Trustnet)

Best Fund Manager over One Year (1st January 2011 to 31st December 2011)
Best Fund Manager over Three Years (1st January 2009 to 31st December 2011)
Best Fund Management Group (The shortlist for this category will be created using FE Trustnet/FE data on fund performance and size, and then an overall group rating will be calculated.)

(The shortlists are created in conjunction with leading industry consultants - no submission required)

Best Technology/Software Provider for Advisory Firms
Best Network/Support Services for Advisory Firms
Best Data & Quotation Provider for Advisory Firms

Baillie Gifford Financial Education Award (Entry by submission, which is then judged by an independent panel.
